On March 13, 2025, Iftar and Suhoor items were distributed as gifts in Badekapara village of Ward No. 04, Karapara Union, Bagerhat Sadar Upazila, courtesy of the renowned Empowering Development Programme (EDP) Inc, USA. This initiative was organized by the non-governmental organization Vision Bangladesh Health and Education Society under the project titled "EDP INC & VISION BANGLADESH RAMADAN GIFT AND SUPPORT PROJECT- 2025".
Through this project, food supplies for Iftar and Suhoor were distributed among 100 poor and helpless families in the area, as well as students and teachers of one Madrasa and orphanage. The project was conducted with the aim of encouraging these impoverished communities to focus more on fasting and worship by relieving them of the anxiety of food collection through the aforementioned support. Furthermore, the initiative aspires for the well-being of all involved in this life and the hereafter. The project was implemented locally on behalf of the organization by its partner, Bagerhat Eye Hospital.
Prior to the distribution of the gifts, the Executive Director of the organization, Mr. Mohammad Saifullah, thanked everyone involved for voluntarily standing by the poor and helpless. Also present at the time were the Honorable Director of Bagerhat Eye Hospital, Mr. Sheikh Nuruzzaman; Honorable Manager Mr. Ranjit Mridha; and the Honorable Project Development Consultant of Vision Bangladesh Health and Education Society, Mr. M.M. Saikhuluzzaman Minar, among others.
